Smoked Sausage Boats
Ingredients:
● 4 smoked sausages (about 12 oz each)
● 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
● ½ cup cream cheese, softened
● ½ cup diced bell peppers (red, green, or yellow)
● ¼ cup finely chopped green onions
● 2 cloves garlic, minced
● 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
● ½ teaspoon black pepper
● 1 tablespoon olive oil
● Optional toppings: sliced jalapeños, chopped fresh parsley, or crispy bacon bits
Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven: Heat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Slice each sausage lengthwise down the middle, careful not to cut all the way through—create a “boat” shape.
3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar, bell peppers, green onions, garlic, smoked paprika, pepper, and olive oil until well combined.
4. Spoon the cheese mixture into each sausage boat, spreading evenly.
5. Bake: Place the filled sausages on a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment paper. Bake for 15–20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
6. Remove from oven, sprinkle optional toppings if desired, and serve warm.
